57th ANNUAL LOS ANGELES AREA EMMY AWARDS NOMINEES AND JURIED AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
North Hollywood, CA, July 6, 2005 – Dick Askin, Chairman and CEO of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, today announced 137 nominations in 35 categories and 10 juried award winners in 10 categories for the 57th Annual Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards.
The 57th Annual Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards presentation will be held Saturday evening, August 27, 2005 at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in North Hollywood. Also presented will be the annual Los Angeles Area Governors Award, which is given to an individual, company or an organization for outstanding achievement in the arts and sciences. This year’s Governors Award will be presented to Bob Eubanks for long and illustrious career in television.
Los Angeles area nominations, juried award winners and the three station award categories for regularly scheduled news, have been judged by peer group panels convened in Boston, Florida, New York, Philadelphia and Seattle.

Mitch Waldow is the Vice Chair of the Academy for the Los Angeles Area Peer Group. Suzan Jorgensen Torgerson and Harry Kooperstein are the Los Angeles Area Governors.
