How to Join
Membership in the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences is open to those persons who are or who have been actively engaged in activities related to the production or distribution of audio visual works for national exhibition by means of telecommunications. The Academy of Television membership has unique requirements for each of the 28 peer groups, described under requirements. The different types of membership are explained in detail under membership types. Membership and membership rights are not transferable.
In order to complete an online application, you must provide the minimum credits required (please see Requirements for each Peer Group) and contact for employment verification.
In addition, unless you have received an Emmy Nomination within the previous four years, you must provide the names of two endorsers. Endorsers must be Active members of the Television Academy - one from the Peer Group to which you are applying and one from any Peer Group. Please contact the endorsers to insure that you are spelling their names exactly as they appear on their Membership Card.
