Steven Lafferty

Steven Lafferty is the head of the television department, a member of the management board and partner at Creative Artists Agency (CAA), an entertainment and sports agency based in Los Angeles with offices in New York, London, Nashville and Beijing. Lafferty represents many of the world’s leading producers and directors, including Jerry Bruckheimer, John Wells, Phil Rosenthal and Bill Maher.

Before joining CAA in 1990, he was an executive vice president for three years at Triad, a literary and talent agency. From 1980 to 1987, Lafferty worked for Viacom in various management positions within Showtime, the Movie Channel, and Viacom Productions.

Lafferty received his J.D. from Whittier Law School in 1978. While attending law school, Lafferty held a full-time job at MTM Enterprises as a business affairs executive. He earned his B.A. degree in psychology and philosophy from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 1975.
