Lucia Gervino

Lucia Gervino is senior vice president of production for the Syfy network. In this role, Gervino continues to provide strategic direction, leadership and oversight to the creative and production division of Syfy. Gervino manages production on all Syfy third-party scripted projects such as Haven and Being Human, and all unscripted original programming, which has increased over 600 percent during her tenure. Gervino also served as executive producer on many of Syfy’s long-running hits like Destination Truth, and pioneered Syfy’s top-rated annual Live Halloween events, now a staple on Halloween night. Gervino’s career spans the production, creative and executive ranks in television and film, both domestically and internationally. Prior to joining Syfy, she served as a freelance producer on several hundred hours of programming, including hits like America’s Next Top Model and Joe Schmo. Prior to this, she spent three years at Rysher Entertainment managing both feature film and television production, where she oversaw films like Private Parts and Kingpin, and the long-running series Oz, Nash Bridges and many others. She began her entertainment career at A&M Films as a development coordinator after graduating from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and English Literature.
